Live Event Sound System

Concerts, festivals and corporate events change venue, audience size and programme every time. Prowave live sound systems give rental companies and production teams line arrays, subwoofers, stage monitors, amplifiers and mixers that scale from a small stage to a large outdoor show.

Common challenges and how to solve them

Every venue is different

Challenge. One weekend it is a hotel ballroom, the next an open field. A fixed setup that sounds right in one place sounds wrong in the next.

Solution. Line array boxes are added or removed and splay angles set for each venue, so coverage matches the audience area. Planning the array before arriving saves time on site. [PLACEHOLDER: Prowave array prediction tool, if available]

Reaching the back of a large outdoor crowd

Challenge. Outdoors there are no walls to help. Level falls with distance, and wind carries the sound away from the rear of the audience.

Solution. Larger arrays project further, and delay speaker towers time-aligned to the main system cover the rear. Rain covers protect equipment during setup and the show. [PLACEHOLDER: IP rating of outdoor-capable models]

Tight setup and strike times

Challenge. Crews often have only a few hours to load in, fly the system, tune it and strike after the show.

Solution. Integrated rigging hardware, flying frames and transport carts speed up rigging. Standard locking connectors and pre-made cable looms reduce mistakes. [PLACEHOLDER: rigging and transport accessories available]

Bass that is loud but uncontrolled

Challenge. Subwoofers flood the stage with low end, muddy the monitors and spill into neighbouring areas.

Solution. Subwoofer arrays in cardioid or end-fire layouts steer bass towards the audience and away from the stage. DSP presets keep the low end tight and consistent between shows.

Monitors and feedback on stage

Challenge. Performers need to hear themselves clearly, but loud wedges close to open microphones feed back.

Solution. Dedicated stage monitors driven from separate mixer outputs give each performer their own mix. Per-mix EQ removes problem frequencies before they turn into feedback.

Mixed inventory in rental fleets

Challenge. Fleets built from several brands need different presets, amplifiers and spare parts, and boxes cannot be swapped between shows.

Solution. Speakers, amplifiers and presets from one brand work together as a matched system. Boxes move freely between jobs and sound the same every time. [PLACEHOLDER: Prowave warranty and service terms]
