Lighting shapes how an audience sees a speaker, a performer or a brand. Prowave lighting gives venues and rental companies wash, spot and effect fixtures with DMX control, so the supplier that provides the sound system can also deliver the lighting rig.
Where it fits
- Auditoriums and school halls
- Conference and event venues
- Theatres and cultural centres
- Houses of worship
- Rental and staging companies
Common challenges and how to solve them
Faces in shadow or washed out
Challenge. Overhead house lights leave presenters’ faces dark, while a single harsh front light flattens them and makes people squint.
Solution. Front light from two angles, using wash or profile fixtures, lights faces evenly for the audience and cameras. Back light separates performers from the background.
Lighting that looks wrong on camera
Challenge. Livestreams and recordings show flicker, colour casts or overexposed faces, even when the stage looks fine to the eye.
Solution. Fixtures with flicker-free LED drivers and good colour rendering, set to the camera’s colour temperature, keep video clean. [PLACEHOLDER: refresh rate and CRI of Prowave fixtures]
Too complex for venue staff
Challenge. Venue staff are not lighting designers. Without help, every event becomes a new programming job.
Solution. A DMX console with stored scenes such as Conference, Concert and Ceremony lets staff recall finished looks with one button. The integrator programs the scenes once at handover.
Heat, power and fan noise
Challenge. Halogen fixtures draw high power, run hot and need dimmer racks. In quiet halls, fixture fans can be heard during speeches.
Solution. LED fixtures use far less power and produce less heat than halogen equivalents. For quiet venues, choose low-noise or fanless models. [PLACEHOLDER: fanless models, if available]
Rigging over the audience
Challenge. Fixtures hung above seats and stages must stay secure for years, through vibration and maintenance work.
Solution. Every fixture is fitted with a proper clamp and safety cable, on truss or rigging points rated for the load. Installation should be carried out by qualified riggers.
Rental fleets that work hard
Challenge. Rental fixtures are transported, rigged and struck every week, and downtime costs bookings.
Solution. Robust housings, standard DMX connectors and consistent fixture modes across the fleet make preparation faster and swaps easier. [PLACEHOLDER: flight case and warranty options]
