Schools, offices, hotels and shops all need the same core functions: background music, announcements, scheduled messages and urgent paging that overrides everything else. Prowave 100V installation audio covers large buildings with long cable runs, many speakers per amplifier and zoning that matches how the site is used.
Where it fits
- Schools and university campuses
- Office buildings and factories
- Hotels and resorts
- Retail stores, malls and restaurants
- Hospitals and public buildings
Common challenges and how to solve them
Long distances and many speakers
Challenge. Low-impedance speakers lose power over long cable runs, and only a few can share one amplifier. That does not work across a large building or campus.
Solution. A 100V line system transmits audio at high voltage and low current, so cable losses stay low over long distances. Each speaker is tapped to a set wattage, and the amplifier is sized from the total of all taps plus headroom.
Different areas, different needs
Challenge. The lobby wants music, the meeting floor wants quiet, and an announcement for one building should not disturb the others.
Solution. Zone selectors and multi-zone amplifiers give each area its own source and volume. Paging microphones with zone keys send messages only where they are needed, with an all-call key for the whole site.
Hot spots and dead spots
Challenge. A few loud speakers make some areas too noisy while others hear almost nothing.
Solution. More speakers running at lower level, spaced according to ceiling height, give even coverage. Each speaker works well below its limit, so music and speech stay clean.
Bells and routines on a schedule
Challenge. Manual bells and routine announcements are missed or late, and timetables change between terms or seasons.
Solution. A programmable timer plays bells, recorded messages and music changes automatically, per zone and per day. Staff update the schedule without rewiring anything. [PLACEHOLDER: Prowave timer or scheduler model]
Urgent messages must override everything
Challenge. During an incident, music or a room set to low volume can mask important instructions.
Solution. Priority settings let the paging microphone or emergency input override music in every zone. Volume controls with priority override play urgent messages at full level even in rooms that have been turned down. If the project requires a certified voice alarm system, check local regulations first. [PLACEHOLDER: Prowave certification status, if any]
Speakers that suit every space
Challenge. Designers reject bulky boxes indoors, while outdoor yards, terraces and car parks need speakers that survive sun and rain.
Solution. Flush ceiling, slim wall and pendant speakers blend into interiors. Weather-resistant horn and column speakers cover outdoor areas on the same 100V lines and zones. [PLACEHOLDER: finishes and IP ratings available]
